before beginning construction i, i had very little knowledge about construction documentation, detailing and the fine aspects that it entailed. as i moved through the course, i started to better grasp important aspects of detailing, such as using distinguishable line weights, making sure all text looks neat and straight by drawing faint guidelines to write on, as well as just learning and memorizing various hatching patterns. through repeatedly drawing the details, i also learnt about different components of a building that i had no previous knowledge about. admittedly, i struggled to memorise the names of alot of these objects, and that is something i am going to have to work on as i continue studying. however, i believe i have learnt alot through this course.
